Ms. Barbara Hinson

On behalf of the Tennessee Governors Volunteer Star Award Committee, the Hohenwald/Lewis County Chamber of Commerce is honored to present this achievement award to Ms. Barbara Hinson. Barbara Hinson is the backbone of Hohenwald and Lewis County. For 42 years, Barbara worked as an educator before retiring from her role as Elementary School Principal at Lewis County Schools in 2008. Barbara has been instrumental in so many groups around Hohenwald, including being a charter member of the Pilot Club. In addition, Barbara continues to help with the Lewis County Historical Society, the Special Olympics, and helps keep Hohenwald beautiful by donating her time to various clean up projects around the county. Barbara is also a member of the Lomax Church of Christ where she helps deliver meals every week. We are so blessed to have Barbara Hinson in our community. She loves this town with her whole heart, and we love her too. We here at the Chamber of Commerce cannot thank Ms. Barbara enough for all that she has done over the years and what she continues to do for our little town. Once again, congratulations to Ms. Barbara Hinson on this statewide award!
