2020 Best Supporting Volunteer — Becky Carroll
It is our honor and privilege at the Hohenwald/Lewis County Chamber of Commerce to announce that the winner of the 2020 Best Supporting Volunteer Award is Becky Carroll. Presenting the award to the Carroll family is South Central Area Fair Board Members Judge Mike Hinson and Vice Mayor, Don Barber. Receiving the award in honor of Becky are her children: Christopher Lomax, Constance Carroll and Cory Carroll.
Becky Carroll (1965-2020) was a Lewis County native who left an impact on our community that will last for decades. No one loved Lewis County like Becky Carroll. She donated her time, wisdom, love and humor to so many different causes in our town. She never wanted anything in return, she just did it purely out of the goodness of her heart and to make the community that she loved so much a better place.
During her life, Becky volunteered with numerous groups including:
• South Central Area Fair Board
• First Female Member of the Jaycees
• Lewis County 4-H Program
• Christmas in Hohenwald
• Lewis County Senior Center
We will never forget the light that was Becky Carroll and it is our great honor to have presented this award to her children, their spouses and her grandchildren. The most important thing in Becky’s life was her family and we know that they will carry on Becky’s legacy for years and years to come.
Once again, congratulations to the 2020 winner of the Best Supporting Volunteer, Becky Carroll.
